The International Association of Doctors and Healthcare Professionals in Slovakia (MALnS), as the lead implementer of the project "Standing Conference of Slovak Healthcare Professionals – connecting Slovak doctors, healthcare workers, social workers, and students operating abroad with Slovakia," in cooperation with the Association of Slovak Healthcare Professionals in the UK, cordially invites you to the following event:
"Career and Educational Opportunity Fair – Nurses and Other Healthcare Personnel"
The event will be moderated by Marian Neradný (Executive Secretary of MALnS) and Alona Kurotová (Founding Member of MALnS).
The Fair is organized as part of the larger MediFutura event, an initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, of which we are a partner. This collaboration ensures maximum efficiency and adds a new dimension to MediFutura, which aims to:
- Support the retention of young healthcare professionals: Creating the conditions and opportunities for them to remain and work at home in Slovakia.
- Provide inspiration and practical orientation: Participants gain practical insights, valuable contacts, and inspiration through discussions, workshops, and the opportunity fair.
- Bridge the gap with the professional sector: Offering the chance to meet in person with representatives of hospitals, clinics, research institutions, and both public and private organizations.
- Foster cooperation between faculties, vocational schools, and the health sector: MediFutura is the first project to unite all four medical faculties in Slovakia alongside the Ministry of Health.
Our ambition within the "Career and Educational Opportunity Fair" is to expand the scope to include Slovak healthcare professionals working abroad and to establish concrete cooperation between educational institutions in Slovakia and international partners where a significant Slovak diaspora is present.
Key Objectives of the Event:
- Inform the diaspora community about all forms of career opportunities currently available in Slovakia.
- Present cooperation possibilities with the Slovak healthcare diaspora to our national Universities and Secondary Vocational Schools.
- Facilitate the conclusion of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava and the Andrey Krupynskyi Lviv Medical Academy. This directly addresses one of our primary goals: solving the nursing shortage in Slovakia. The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum is scheduled for the eve of the event.
- Engage a wide range of exhibitors to enable closer future collaboration with both MALnS and the healthcare diaspora, maximizing their collective potential.
- Lead the discussion panel: "The future of professional qualifications obtained abroad."
As our primary goal is to foster an environment of open dialogue and partnership, this event will not follow a rigid schedule. Instead, it will consist of a series of formal and informal meetings and discussions led by the event moderators.
